Sandbox and Servers

Jurassic Pixel launched on 18 March 2025 as a free Roblox dinosaur survival game. Play is online, 50 players, no split-screen. Developers publish as developers made of pocket change. This page is the server-mode map: how the community enters sandbox with the Mode button, how public KOS differs from private and tiny servers, what arena and the short-lived extra DNA mode were, and why Brachiosaurus hours only exist when nobody is hunting you. Open the Roblox experience. Official chatter still lands first in the Jurassic Pixel Discord. URL map: links hub. There are no working promo codes as of September 2026, so a server type will not skip the shop.

Click Mode to enter sandbox

Community instruction: enter sandbox by clicking Mode. Players also call it click mode. This wiki repeats that as a community tip, not as an official manual and not as a promise that every client build still shows the same label. If you cannot find Mode, you have not failed a quest. Grow on a quiet public or a private server instead, starting from Getting Started. Use sandbox to learn bite timing, latch, charge, swim-up, and the HUD without a full 50-player KOS lobby. Buttons: Controls. Combat loop: How to Play. Pack habits: How to Survive.

Death can keep growth in sandbox. Community reports say players died and respawned still holding growth because they were in Sandbox. On public servers this wiki still treats death as expensive; dying may wipe a growth bar. Do not assume the sandbox exception applies to a packed public or to a private farm you care about. Test on a throwaway life, then believe what the live client did. Sandbox is not a DNA printer and not an executor. Injectors are a different risk on the scripts hub. This wiki does not invent a map layout. Learn biomes in the client.

Public, private, tiny, and arena

Public (up to 50 players). Default KOS. Unknown adults are hungry. Friendly emotes are bait. Grow at the map edge on Gallimimus or hide as a baby Velociraptor. Public is for adult PvP you can afford to lose. Ranked fights: PvP tier list and tier list. If you walk a two-hour growth into spawn on a full public, you donated the bar.

Private servers. The hide-from-KOS tool. Adult Brachiosaurus with both DNA gamepasses and the day-100 bonus can sit near 50 DNA per 30 seconds, about 6,000 an hour, if it lives. That clock is a private or tiny-server clock, not a 50-player lake clock. Official Discord removed the private-server sharing channel. There is no public listing there anymore. Arrange a private with people you already trust, or use your own Roblox private if you have one.

Tiny servers. Low population publics that behave like a farm if nobody is hunting. Same DNA math as private when they stay quiet. Leave if the player count spikes while you are growing.

Arena and the extra DNA mode. Arena exists as a separate mode people queue for fights. A “new DNA mode” was added, then DNA farming there was removed days later. Comments on the community video this page embeds are the source for that pull. Do not build a wallet route around arena DNA. The route is still Gallimimus to Triceratops to Brachiosaurus on How to Grind DNA. Farm ranks: DNA farm tier list. Worksheet: DNA calculator. Tools index: tools.

Why private and tiny servers matter for Brachio

DNA ticks about every 30 seconds. At age X, a tick is about (age / 100) times listed gain. Hide until age 100. Survival-day bonuses add +1 gain every 10 days, capped at +10 on day 100, and that bonus is not multiplied by gamepasses. The +40% and +60% DNA passes stack on base gain only; together they double that base. Details: gamepasses. Peak adult Brachiosaurus is the 20 to 40 to about 50 example. Without a quiet server those numbers are fiction. A public KOS hour on a baby is not 480 DNA. A public hour on a 120-minute Brachio growth is often zero because someone bit ankles. Use public for carnivore PvP on an adult you can replace. Use private or tiny when the hour is the product.

Ultimasaurus is the other expensive growth people try to protect: about two hours, community sheet, not a shop buy. Same rule. Do not spawn it in a 50-player lobby to flex. Limited hybrids last listed at 300,000 DNA when the tile is live; How to Get Indominus is the restock page. Mosasaurus was removed. Patch context does not change the server rule. Giga and Theri added a land dash apex. Carnage and Extinction and the skins log are cosmetic windows. D-Rex is a teaser. Updates is the dated index. None of those pages replace a quiet server.

What to do tonight

If you need practice without KOS, click Mode and use sandbox. Confirm on your client whether growth persists after a sandbox death. If you need DNA, sit an adult farmer on a private or tiny server and follow the guides hub peaceful line. Do not sit in arena waiting for a DNA mode that was pulled. If you need fights, take an adult from the players hub onto a public. Discord no longer lists private servers. Pick the mode that matches the hour you want.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

How do I enter sandbox in Jurassic Pixel?

Community instruction: click **Mode**. If the button is missing on your client, grow on a quiet public or private server instead. First spawn: Getting Started. Buttons: Controls.

Does death keep my growth in sandbox?

Community reports say yes: players died and respawned still holding growth because they were in Sandbox. Public deaths can still wipe a bar. Treat public KOS as expensive and read How to Survive.

Can I farm DNA in arena or the extra DNA mode?

No. A new DNA mode was added, then DNA farming there was removed days later. Use How to Grind DNA and the DNA farm tier list on a private or tiny server instead.

Why do private and tiny servers matter for Brachiosaurus?

Peak adult Brachio sits near 50 DNA per 30 seconds, about 6,000 an hour, only if it lives. Official Discord removed the private-server sharing channel. Math: DNA calculator and gamepasses.
